To His Beatitude Lubomyr,

and
to the Reverend Presbyter
Borys Gudziak,
Rector of the Catholic University in Lviv,
to the Children of Our Humility, Beloved in Our Lord,
Grace and Peace from God.
From the letter of His Beloved Reverence from June 8 of the current year, with joy we have learned of the inauguration of the Ukrainian Catholic University, which will take place on June 30 of this year. We share paternally your joy on the occasion of this good initiative and your hard work and efforts in bringing your cause to successful completion.
In the name of the Holy Great Mother Church of Christ we bless this noble action for the promotion of knowledge, peace and spiritual communion between the people.
We desire that in all times the development of theological scholarship will occur, that it will serve the Church, progress, peace, and unity among the divided children of God in accordance with the holy and blessed will of God, which the Lord bequeathed to us in His high-priestly prayer to His Father: “that all may be one.”
Sincerely rejoicing with you at this time, we hope that the new University will serve knowledge and virtue for many years and centuries.
May the grace and infinite mercy of God abide with Your Beatitude, Your Reverence, and all those who teach and study at your University.

Sincere suppliant to God for all of you
