June 26, 2009, the Library of the Ukrainian Catholic University received a gift of 800 books and journals from the private library collection of the Hornyatkevych Family.
The collection belonged to Professor Andrew Hornyatkevych and his parents – Damian Michael Hornyatkevych and Daria Brykovych-Hornyatkevych. The items are in Ukrainian, Russian, English, German, French, and other languages in the fields of linguistics and Slavic studies. They were published both in Ukraine and abroad.

Biblical scholar Dr. Deborarh Taylor made an informal visit to the Ukrainian Catholic University. During the visit Dr. Taylor gave the UCU Library 300 books from her private collection. The books will enrich our collection in Biblical studies and Religions. Dr. Taylor first visited the UCU library several years ago when she and her husband, US Ambassador William Taylor, first arrived in Ukraine.
