Purpose: creation of a legal, canonical basis for the overall integration of canon law into various spheres of the life and activities of the Kyivan Church

Fields of activity:

  • Study of the sources of canon law of the Kyivan Church
  • Research in the field of canon law; historic aspects of the development of canon law in the Church; analysis of the norms of canon law; the problem of the mutual relationship and co-operation between Church and state, Church and society
  • Satisfaction of the canonical needs of the Church, including the hierarchy, monastic and lay communities
