Clarendon Scholarships, University of Oxford (UK)

Tuesday, 26 November, 2013

Sorry, this entry is only available in Ukrainian.

Clarendon Scholarships are awarded to academically excellent students with the best proven and future potential. The Scholarships cover tuition and college fees in full and a generous grant for living expenses, and are open to students starting a new course at Oxford. They are highly competitive, with less than 3% of graduate offer holders being also offered the scholarship.

In 2013/14, there will be over three hundred Clarendon scholars at Oxford representing more than fifty different countries.

Whilst there are no quotas by course type, the majority of Clarendon scholars are working towards a DPhil (PhD). Scholarships are also awarded for 2-year graduate degrees (MPhil/BPhil/MLitt) or 1-year degrees (MSc/MSt/MBA/MFE).

A distinguishing feature of Clarendon scholarships is that scholars are selected from the leaders in their field – that is, academic departments nominate whom they believe are the most deserving of their place at the University of Oxford based on their academic record and ability to contribute significantly to their field of study, both in the present and future. This feature ensures the best and brightest minds are selected as Clarendon scholars.

Applications for Clarendon Fund scholarships for entry in 2014/15 are now open. You must apply to the University by the January deadline relevant to your proposed course in order to be considered for a scholarship.

By applying for graduate study at Oxford University (Graduate Application) you will automatically be considered for a Clarendon Scholarship. You do not need to submit any additional documents specifically for the Clarendon Scholarships and there is no separate scholarship application form.

The information that you provide with your application form for graduate study at Oxford will be used to assess your funding application. Once the application deadline has passed, you are not able to provide any additional supporting materials (unless the department you are applying to has specifically requested this in support of your application for admission to Oxford).
