Woodstock Theological Center International Visiting Fellowship Program
What?
An opportunity to spend time carrying out a personal research project at the Woodstock Theological Center, an independent, Jesuit-sponsored research institute located at Georgetown University that engages in theological and ethical reflection on topics of social, economic, business, scientific, cultural, religious, and political importance. As a Woodstock International Visiting Fellow, you will have access to the Georgetown University Library, the Woodstock Theological Center Library, and the intellectual companionship of the Woodstock senior research fellows and Georgetown faculty.
Types of Fellowships
Woodstock offers the following fellowships:
- Fellowships for Jesuits. Woodstock offers short-term and long-term fellowships to Jesuits who have a doctorate or equivalent education and whose home province in not in the United States. The fellowship award package includes room and board at the Woodstock Jesuit Residence, a modest monthly spending stipend, health care insurance, and travel reimbursement.
- Fellowships for Members of Other Religious Organizations. Woodstock offers short-term and long-term fellowships to members of religious organizations who have a doctorate or equivalent education and whose home is not the United States. The fellowship award package includes a generous monthly stipend and travel reimbursement. This fellowship award package does not include living accommodations and health care insurance.
- Fellowship for Lay Scholars. Woodstock offers short-term and long-term fellowships to lay scholars who have a doctorate or equivalent education and whose home country is not the United States. The fellowship award package includes a generous monthly stipend and travel reimbursement. This fellowship award package does not include living accommodations and health care insurance.
When?
Woodstock is accepting applications for the 2011-2012 academic year (September 2011 through May 2012). The application deadline is December 31, 2010. We will also accept applications for the 2012-2013 academic year.
